PROOFREADER
We’re seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Proofreader/Quality Assurance Specialist. If you live and breathe grammatical accuracy and find every incorrect word and typo in everything you read, then you’re the perfectionist we want on our team!
YOUR ROLE:
- Perform a quality check at each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Review materials for accurate and consistent use of grammar and content.
YOU'LL HAVE:
- Experience in proofreading variable content from print, PDF, matrix tables and data tables.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within strict production schedule deadlines.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline.
- 3+ years proofreading experience within the technical, legal or advertising category.
- Knowledge of proofreaders’ marks.
YOU'LL ENSURE:
- Accurate spelling, grammar, punctuation, point size, text style, spacing and formatting are correct and consistent.
- Client revisions have been applied and style and branding guidelines are adhered to.
- All legal and variable information is present and correct, including codes, phone numbers, offers, pricing, offer disclaimers and expiration dates.
BONUS SKILLS (not required but a plus):
- Experience with Mac platform and GMC Inspire.
- Ability to proofread in Spanish.
